A global cybersecurity expert with over 20 years of experience, Dr. Sheeba Armoogum is an Associate Professor at the University of Mauritius. She specialises in research, innovation, and strategic collaboration. She is the sole inventor of the patented CyberThreat DNA, an advanced Intrusion Detection and Prevention System, and co-inventor of an AI-driven ethical Governance System for unified cyber threat intelligence and forensics.

 

As a leader of the CyberSecurity & Forensics Research Group (CSFRG) at the University of Mauritius, Dr. Armoogum mentors researchers and drives cutting-edge cybersecurity, AI, and cyber forensics projects. She also serves on several high-level boards, including Rogers Capital Technology and international cybersecurity committees.

 

A frequent keynote speaker across the globe, she is certified in ISO/IEC cybersecurity standards and research ethics. Her accolades include the STEM Academia & Research Award (2024) and recognition among the "45 Most Influential Women in Digital Transformation in Africa."
